Be sure to contact your steward or the union office to request a withdrawal card when you take a leave of absence, terminate or retire from Penn State University.   By getting a withdrawal card you will be able to save money by not having to pay dues and still remain a member of Teamsters Union Local 8.  You can only get a withdrawal card if you are not receiving any income from Penn State University.  In addition to withdrawal it is important to remember to notify our office of any change in your name, address or beneficiary.  This important information needs to be current.

We are experiencing a large number of members who are delinquent in their dues.  Due to this situation the Local Executive Board has decided to look at each request for forgiveness on a case by case basis. Everyone is sent a notice of delinquency after the first month they are in arrears. It is hard to support a request for forgiveness knowing that a member has been delinquent for over six months and has received a notice each month but never contacted the Local Union office. We are asking for a little cooperation. Be forewarned.
