Every job
that is posted on the work unit bulletin boards has specific requirements.
For example, the
landscape jobs that are posted on the boards all say that a pesticide license is
required. It is necessary to have the certification because of federally
mandated environmental regulations. You need to possess the license before
you apply for the job.
The
Union Office has the study guides and material for both pesticide license and
CDL. There is a $25.00 deposit for the pesticide manuals which is refunded
upon return of the manuals. Give us a call and we will get you the material necessary to train
for the license needed for the job you are seeking. Members who currently
have material from the Teamster Local 8 office are asked to return the material
to the Union Office when you are finished with it making it available for other
members to use.
